CEP Eligibility
What is CEP?
The Community Eligibility Program states that all enrolled students of Floretta P. Carson Visual & Performing Arts Academy are eligible to receive a healthy, reimbursable breakfast and lunch at school at no charge. No further action is required of you. Your students will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.
If a la carte items are selected, each student will be required to pay for the additional items at the food prices approved by our district’s board of education.
2024-25 CEP Notice to Parents and Guardians
For the school year 2024-2025 the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) of Floretta P. Carson Visual & Performing Arts Academy will provide breakfast and lunch meals to all students at no charge through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). In order to receive USDA Reimbursement; Floretta P. Carson Visual & Performing Arts Academy must follow the guideline that requires all meals to be accountable.
All students will be issued an identification badge and number that will be scanned/presented at the Point of Sale; this will identify the students and the meals served. The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program does not require student meal applications, therefore all students will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge. The school system will receive reimbursement for a complete reimbursable meal per student. If a student selects a partial meal, he/she will be required to pay for those items separately.
A la carte items may be purchased at the food prices approved by Floretta P. Carson Visual & Performing Arts Academy Board of Education. Meal Prices for School Staff and Visitors are listed below: Breakfast - $3.05, Lunch - $4.65
